I always feel a little useless at conferences and geek meet-ups because I don't have any business cards to give out. All I see around me is a blur of movement as cards are being transferred from one iPhone toting creative to another. Where's the love for Rawkes, ey?
Well, I've put my foot down. Enough is enough. It's now time for Rawkes to join in the fun and have some business cards of its own. Coincidently this decision happened at around the same time MOO decided to give me 50 business cards for free. Result!
So, with Photoshop in one hand and a cup of tea in the other, I got to work creating what can quite simply be called the most amazing business card in the entire world. Seriously.
I believe now would be a good time to stop waffling, so let me leave you with some images of said world-beating business cards. Perhaps you'll receive one of them in the future if you're lucky enough to bump into me on my travels.

As I said before Rob - these look lovely.
I love the rocket ship & the exploded detail on the back!
Only critisicm is to space the lettering slightly on your email / web / twitter details on the back - but it might look fine on a printed business card.
Good work!

Very true, we’ll have to see how the samples come back from MOO. Nothing a quick fix in Photoshop can’t handle.

I love the rocket! But your site is very loud, why is everything so big? I feel like I need to step away from my monitor.

Great design. I love the concept! Can wait for this to materialize and be printed on a nice matte paper. The red space on the back of the card seems to take up too much idle space for me though. But i guess it can be useful in that people can scribble notes on it.

@Sarah: May I ask what screen resolution you’re using? I designed this site for browsers over 1024 pixels wide, but still, I did choose to make the elements fairly large. Thanks for the comments though as I’m always looking for ways to improve when I next refresh the design.
@Alex: It’s funny you mention printing it on a nice matte paper as I tried that with some samples and they all came out pretty dull. Admittedly that is probably due to my lack of print design skills. Regardless, the final batch were printed last week on laminated stock and look very nice, I’ll get some photos up soon. I appreciate your comment about the red space on the back, these are my first proper business cards and I’m sure there is lots to improve on.

Received one of these babies in the post ... the picture on here doesn’t do it justice! the rounded edges and the quirkiness of it are awesome :D
Love it ... best business card I have in my collection!
[see .. told you I would start commenting! - but your latest post is too confusing for me to make sense of ... so came here instead:p]
